The LSU coaching staff, led by Lane Kiffin, is ramping up its efforts on the 2027 recruiting front, having just secured their second commitment of the day. This latest addition comes from Brennen Lacey, a 3-star running back from Texas, as reported by Sam Spiegelman of Rivals.

Lacey’s recruitment has been notable for the impressive array of scholarship offers he has received, which include prestigious programs like Notre Dame, Miami, TCU, Texas Tech, and Florida. Although he visited Baton Rouge this past weekend, Lacey is no stranger to LSU, having previously toured the campus in April.

At 6-foot-1 and weighing 187 pounds, Lacey is a well-rounded athlete. He showcased his speed by clocking a 10.91-second 100-meter dash as a sophomore, and his versatility is evident as he has played both wide receiver and running back. His ability to catch passes and generate big plays makes him a valuable addition to LSU's offensive strategy.

With Lacey on board, LSU is not resting on its laurels. The team is actively pursuing Trey Martin, the top running back prospect in Louisiana, signaling that more commitments may be on the horizon for the 2027 class.
