Nebraska lands Chicago wide receiver for class of 2026

Class of 2026 wide receiver Jamari Brown committed to the Nebraska football program on Friday afternoon. He made the announcement on social media. The receiver will join the program as a preferred walk-on.

Brown hails from Mount Carmel High School in Chicago, Illinois. This is the same high school as fellow 2026 commit Claude Mpouma.

The receiver held offers from Ole Miss, Eastern Michigan, and Ball State. He has visited Ole Miss and Nebraska. He visited the rebels in June 2024 and was at the Northwestern game last season, as the Huskers won. Brown measures in at five-foot-11, 175 pounds.

This just adds additional depth to what is a crowded Huskers wide receiver room. Although the team may not be experienced in the position, it has young talent.

Brown will also have some friends and teammates on campus. This could make the adjustments to campus easier. This is a low-risk, potentially high-reward addition.
