The best quarterbacks in the NFL may all reside in the NFC West. You have the reigning NFL MVP, two Super Bowl champions, and a quarterback who came out of nowhere to take his team to the NFC Championship Game off the bench.

Here is the list of the best quarterbacks in the NFC West.

1. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams

There is no doubt who was at the top of this list. The reigning NFL MVP had the best year of his career last season. Stafford threw for over 4,700 yards and 46 touchdowns last year, while posting a 109.2 passer rating. He also led his team to another NFC Championship Game last year, just falling short of making it to another Super Bowl. Not to mention, he is a Super Bowl winner. Stafford has only gotten better as he has gotten older. Don't be surprised if he holds up another Super Bowl trophy before he retires.

2. Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks

Sam Darnold is second on this list for several reasons. First of all, he's a Super Bowl Champion. Although he didn't put up great numbers in the game, he put up great numbers throughout the season. Darnold threw for over 4,000 yards and 25 touchdowns with a 67.7 completion percentage. The other reason he is second is because of his comeback. Darnold bounced around from team to team before he found the right fit with the Seahawks. His story of perseverance will go down as one of the best in NFL history.

3. Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers

Although Purdy is third on the list, it doesn't mean he isn't a good quarterback. Purdy came off the bench as a third-string quarterback for the 49ers and hasn't looked back since. Despite being injured for a lot of the 2025 season, he still managed to throw for over 2,000 yards and 20 touchdowns. Purdy can't seem to get over the hump with this team, and a lot of it has to do with injuries. Not only his injuries, but his teammates as well. If they can stay healthy, watch out!

4. Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals

For most of Jacoby Brissett's career, we have known him as more of a backup than a starter. His job this upcoming season is mainly to give the ball to rookie running back Jeremiah Love. He may have competition in the fall from rookie quarterback Carson Beck. Brissett may also be called on to be a mentor to Beck and prepare him to be the starter in the future.
