New UCLA BruinsBob Chesney isn’t the only person that’s adjusting to life in Los Angeles. New Los Angeles Rams defensive end Myles Garrett is going through the same process. Chesney and Garrett met up earlier this week with Garrett getting a workout in on UCLA’s practice field.

It’s not controversial to say that Garrett is the best defensive player in the NFL, and potentially might be the league’s best player. After winning the Defensive Player of the Year and setting the new single-season sack record, the Cleveland Browns traded Garrett to the Rams for Jared Verse and three draft picks.

UCLA Assistant Linebackers coach Jacob Dobbs shared a photo of Chesney of Garrett, where you can see the physique that helps make Garrett so dominant at the NFL level.

It makes sense for Garrett to put UCLA’s facilities to use as the former Texas A&M star prepares for NFL training camp, which opened up for the Rams on Saturday. Garrett has been named a Pro Bowler seven times in nine seasons and has now won two Defensive Player of the Year awards.

Last season, Garrett was a teammate of former UCLA linebacker Carson Schwesinger. Schwesinger was an instant-impact player for the Browns while playing alongside Garrett. Schwesinger won the Defensive Rookie of the Year, with both players bringing home major awards despite playing for the 5-12 Browns.
