The Ohio State Buckeyes' football program has received encouraging news regarding five-star defensive lineman Marcus Fakatou, as two additional crystal ball predictions have been made in favor of the team. Fakatou has narrowed his choices to three schools: Ohio State, Georgia, and Texas. Following these developments, predictions from analysts Kyle Kelly and Eric Nahlin of On3/Rivals have begun to emerge, with Nahlin notably being a Texas insider.

This is significant considering that Texas recently secured a commitment from another defensive lineman, Kasi Currie, who was previously thought to lean towards Ohio State. Both Fakatou and Currie are students at Sierra Canyon High School. Additionally, Fakatou has decided to cancel his official visits to Oregon and Notre Dame, two schools that were considered strong contenders for his commitment.

In an update shared on social media, Hayes Fawcett noted, "Five-Star DL Marcus Fakatou is down to Georgia, Texas, and Ohio State." He also mentioned that Fakatou has withdrawn from his visits to Oregon and Notre Dame, which were seen as potential threats to Ohio State's recruitment efforts.

Fakatou made his first official visit to Ohio State at the end of May, and reports indicate that the visit went exceptionally well. Coaches Larry Johnson and Ryan Day are optimistic about securing a commitment from this highly sought-after talent as they continue their pursuit of top prospects for the upcoming season.
