So we just want to make sure that we stay on top of that."

Albernaz provided an update on Basallo, stating, "Sammy’s had great work days the past couple of days, and today as well, and he’ll be available off the bench today as well. Just doing what’s best for Sammy. Long season."

Rutschman has been a crucial part of the Orioles' lineup this season, boasting a .267 batting average and an .832 OPS, a significant improvement from his performance last year. Albernaz previously praised Rutschman and Basallo as the best catching duo in the league, making Rutschman's absence even more impactful as the team struggles to stay competitive.
