Rangers Edge Out Padres in High-Scoring Clash, 9-7

Rangers pitcher Jacob deGrom had a noteworthy performance, earning his sixth win of the season and celebrating his birthday in style. He pitched six innings, surrendering six hits and six earned runs while striking out nine batters and walking three. Despite his efforts, he did allow two home runs to the Padres.

Relievers Jakob Junis and Jacob Latz played crucial roles in securing the victory for Texas. Junis pitched 1.2 innings, giving up one earned run and striking out three, while Latz recorded his 13th save of the season after pitching a perfect 1.1 innings with only one hit allowed.

The Padres initially surged ahead with a five-run first inning, but the Rangers responded decisively with a six-run inning of their own.
