At Mill Creek Golf Club in Churchville, Scarsdale's Sam Gao and Rye's Ryker Kevorkian find themselves tied for ninth place in the boys' championship, each finishing with a score of 71, which puts them four strokes behind the leader, Josh Yan of Newburgh Free Academy, who shot an impressive 4-under 67. Yorktown’s Kurt Carey is positioned five shots off the pace as he heads into the final round.
In the girls' championship at Wild Wood Country Club in Rush, Scarsdale's Arwen Dong sits in seventh place after her opening round of 75. She trails the leader, Rachel O’Rourke from Rome Free Academy, by four strokes, as O’Rourke recorded a score of 1-under 71.
