Texas A&M Secures UNLV Right-Hander Jase Evangelista to Enhance Pitching Roster

Texas A&M has prioritized strengthening its pitching lineup this offseason, and on Sunday evening, the Aggies made a significant addition. Jase Evangelista, a former right-handed pitcher from UNLV, has decided to transfer to A&M, marking him as the second pitcher to join the team following the appointment of new pitching coach Barry Enright by head coach Michael Earley.

Initially, Evangelista had committed to Texas Tech on June 5 but later reopened his recruitment. While his 6.17 ERA may raise some concerns, his overall performance paints a more positive picture. Standing at 6 feet tall, Evangelista had a solid record of 4–1 over 19 appearances, including four saves, primarily from the bullpen. In his 46.2 innings pitched, he recorded 64 strikeouts while allowing only 18 walks, limiting opponents to a .282 batting average.
