Texas A&M star WR ranked 4th nationally in yards after catch in 2025
Texas A&M's 2026 offense certainly looks like a top 10-ranked unit on paper, and while On3 analyst J.D. PicKell doesn't agree with that assessment, the return of redshirt junior quarterback Marcel Reed and star wide receiver Mario Craver is the QB/WR duo that could lead the Aggies back to the College Football Playoff for the second straight season.
Last season, Marcel Reed threw for a career-high 3,169 yards and 25 touchdowns, but struggled in the pocket against elite defensive competition, resulting in 12 interceptions, which was tied for second in the SEC. After OC Collin Klein departed to take over as Kansas State's head coach, former WR coach Holmon Wiggins took over, which could have a positive or potentially negative effect on Reed's development.
However, entering his second full starting season, Marcel Reed proved that he can lead the offense in tight games, including the Aggies' epic comeback win over South Carolina, where the Tennessee native played the best football of his career in the second half, leading Texas A&M to a 31-30 win after trailing 30-3 at halftime.
Combined with KC Concepcion, who led the Aggies in receiving yards (919) and touchdowns (9), paired with two punt return scores, Mario Craver was equally impressive, reeling in 59 receptions for 917 yards and four scores, averaging 15.5 yards per reception. Craver was even more lethal after the catch, averaging 8.7 yards, which ranked 4th nationally.
While Concepcion's departure stings after the playmaker was selected 24th overall by the Cleveland Browns in the 2026 NFL Draft, the offseason addition of Alabama transfer wide receiver Isaiah Horton brings much-needed size to a wide receiver rotation already built on speed, separation, and physicality.
