Texas A&M baseball vs Arizona State: Live updates for Sunday's game

ARLINGTON — After being on both sides of a run-rule game, Sunday, Texas A&M baseball looks to end its three-game stint in Arlington on a positive note.

Friday, the Aggies (9-1) blasted Virginia Tech 10-0. Saturday, UCLA returned the favor, handing A&M its first loss of the season, 11-1.

Next up is Arizona State, as the Sun Devils (8-3) have lost both of their games in Arlington. They first dropped Friday's matchup against Mississippi State 8-4, followed by Saturday's 5-3 loss to Tennessee.

While outside perception probably doesn't weigh heavily on A&M head coach Michael Earley's mind, finding a way to leave Sunday with a win and walk out of Arlington 2-1 on the weekend could be a huge boost for the Aggies.

Last season, A&M went 1-2 in the College Classic in Houston, and more questions emerged from the weekend than answers.

Now, the Aggies turn to their usual Sunday starter, Aiden Sims, who has looked stellar this season. Sims is 2-0 with a 1.38 ERA, striking out 17 batters in 13 innings.
