Vote for El Paso Children's Hospital high school athlete for May 11-16

With the 2025-26 high school sports season ongoing, the El Paso Times will give readers a chance to vote to identify El Paso's top athletes.

This week, readers can vote for which El Paso Times' El Paso Children's Hospital high school athlete had the best performance in baseball and track and field.

Here are this week's nominees:

• Aiden Lester, Americas baseball. He pitched a shutout vs. Birdville in Game 3 of series to help the Trailblazers advance to the Class 5A, Division 1 finals.
• Noah Garcia, Eastwood track & Field. He earned a bronze medal in the 3,200 meters at Class 6A Track & Field meet.
• Matthew Portillo, Clint track & Field. He earned a silver medal in the pole vault at the Class 4A state Track & Field Meet.
• Jordan Owens, Andress track & Field. He earned a silver medal in the long jump at the Class 5A state Track & Field Meet.
• Ky-Ri Bonner, Hanks track & Field. He earned a bronze medal in the 400 meters at the Class 5A state Track & Field Meet.
• Emily Orr, Franklin track & Field. She finished fourth in the 3,200 meters at the Class 6A state Track & Field Meet.
• Franklin 4x400 girls relay. The relay team earned a silver medal 1,600 meter relay at the Class 6A state Track & Field Meet.
• Canutillo 4x400 boys relay. The relay team earned a bronze medal 1,600 meter relay at the Class 5A state Track & Field Meet.
