Will Campbell Undergoes Intense Knee Rehab During Offseason

Will Campbell, selected by the New England Patriots as the fourth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, faced significant challenges last season after suffering a partially torn MCL. The young left tackle started the season strong, playing in the first 13 games before the injury forced him to miss the rest of the regular season. Despite a rushed return for the playoffs, Campbell’s performance declined, contributing to Drake Maye taking an unprecedented number of sacks, ultimately leading to a Super Bowl defeat.

This decline in performance led to frustrations among fans, who began questioning Campbell's ability to maintain his starting position. In response to these concerns, Campbell shared his commitment to recovery, revealing that he dedicated himself to knee rehabilitation five times a week throughout the offseason. “I did [physical therapy] five days a week the entire offseason until we got back (April 20),” he explained. “Just trying to rebuild the strength in my knee to get it back to where it was previously. And I feel like I did a good job with that.”

Feeling optimistic about his progress, Campbell emphasized the importance of continuous improvement. “Nobody’s a finished product,” he stated. “I’ve worked at everything every day. I’m 22, I’m a long way from where I’m going to be in the future. It’s not like I’m great at everything and here’s one little thing. I’m building everything, every day. And trying to make everything as a whole better.”

As Campbell gears up for his second season in Foxboro, fans are hopeful that he can rise to the occasion and prove his critics wrong.
