Will the Eagles play an international game in 2026? Here are the remaining options

The NFL will have a league-record nine international games in 2026. But options are dwindling for fans who want to see the Philadelphia Eagles abroad.

The Atlanta Falcons will play in Madrid, the league announced on Tuesday morning.

Atlanta’s opponent was not announced, but the Eagles aren’t on the Falcons’ 2026 schedule.

So Philly fans can cross out a trip to Spain to see the Eagles play at the historic Bernabéu stadium, the home of soccer powerhouse Real Madrid.

With Atlanta being assigned to Madrid, all nine international games have at least one team attached. The Jacksonville Jaguars will play two games in London while the Washington Commanders will play one game in London.

The Dallas Cowboys will play in Rio de Janeiro, the San Francisco 49ers play in Mexico City, the Detroit Lions play in Munich, and the New Orleans Saints play in Paris.

The only game with both teams set is the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne.

So, where does that leave the Eagles?

Philadelphia is not scheduled to face the Falcons, Lions or Saints in the regular season, so cross off Madrid, Munich and Paris.

The remaining options for Philadelphia are London, Rio and Mexico City. The Eagles will face the Jaguars, Commanders, 49ers and Cowboys on the road in 2026.

The Eagles team total wins line is set at 10.5 games on BetMGM for next season. Our in-depth BetMGM Sportsbook review shows you how to sign up and use their site. If you’re interested in learning more about how to bet on NFL futures, our NFL futures betting guide has you covered.

Would the NFL take away a home NFC East game from the Cowboys and Commanders? That seems unlikely, though divisional matchups have happened abroad before.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers have faced each other internationally twice. The 49ers and Arizona Cardinals played in Mexico City in 2022. London, meanwhile, has hosted four divisional games since the NFL started playing there in 2007.

The Eagles have played internationally twice. They beat the Green Bay Packers in São Paulo in 2024 and beat the Jaguars in London in 2018.

And now, if the Eagles are going to go abroad in 2026, London and Brazil, as well as Mexico, are the remaining options for Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley and Co.
