Wisconsin Secures Commitment from Edge Rusher Darin Graham

MADISON – The University of Wisconsin has been actively enhancing its recruiting efforts this month, particularly focusing on the crucial edge rusher position. Despite initial challenges in this area, the Badgers have made a significant addition with the commitment of Darin Graham, a standout from Mount Carmel High School in Chicago, who officially announced his decision on June 7. Mount Carmel is also the alma mater of Wisconsin junior running back Darrion Dupree.

Graham's commitment marks him as the fifth player from Wisconsin's first round of official visits to pledge to the program. He took to social media to share his exciting news, stating, "Blessed too announce my commitment too Wisconsin ALL GLORY TO GOD !!" accompanied by a video of his announcement.

Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 224 pounds, Graham's size is noteworthy, although some sources like Rivals and 247Sports list him at 218 pounds. He had several competitive offers, with Mississippi and Purdue also in contention for his talents, alongside interest from Kansas State, Minnesota, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, and Oregon State.

Regarding his recruitment rating, both 247Sports and Rivals classify Graham as a three-star recruit, while ESPN has yet to give him a rating. In terms of his fit within Wisconsin's recruiting class, Graham's lean build contrasts with fellow edge recruit Isaac Miller, who stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs 245 pounds. However, the Badgers embrace this diversity in body types, which allows the coaching staff to tailor their strategies to different opponents and situations.

Following Graham's commitment, Wisconsin's recruiting class has climbed to No. 13 overall in 247Sports' rankings and ranks fifth within the Big Ten. Rivals places the Badgers at No. 22 nationally and ninth in the conference. With these recent advancements, Wisconsin is shaping up for a promising 2027 recruiting class.
