Abby Hustler Signs with PWHL Hamilton, Departing the Frost

The Frost's roster reshaping continues as the PWHL Hamilton announced on Sunday that forward Abby Hustler has officially signed a two-year Standard Player Agreement in anticipation of the team’s first season in 2026-27. Hustler, previously contracted with Minnesota but not protected by the team, will now remain with Hamilton through the 2027-28 season.

At just 23 years old, Hustler is the third player to join Hamilton during the fourth phase of the PWHL Expansion Player Distribution Process. In her rookie season with Minnesota, she showcased her skills by participating in all 30 regular-season games, where she tallied 13 points with 4 goals and 9 assists. Additionally, she played in five postseason matches.

Drafted by the Frost as the 14th overall pick in the second round of the 2025 PWHL Draft, Hustler distinguished herself as a standout among her fellow rookies, leading the class in goals and ranking second in both assists and total points. Originally from St. Louis, Prince Edward Island, she becomes the first player from her province to join the PWHL and will be playing for a Canadian team for the first time in her career.

This transition comes amid a wave of player losses for the Frost, as several key names have been claimed in the expansion process.
