Adam Randall rookie RB fantasy outlook and impact on teammates
The Ravens selected Adam Randall in the fifth round of the NFL draft. What is his realistic 2026 fantasy outlook, and how might his presence impact Derrick Henry, Justice Hill, and Rasheen Ali?
The odds of Baltimore drafting an RB were about 98%. Henry will turn 33 before the end of the upcoming season, while Hill will turn 29. Ali is a 2024 fifth-round pick with solid catching skills, but the 25-year-old hasn’t yet rounded into form in limited mop-up work.
Everything comes down to Henry’s durability, as has been the case these past eight seasons while serving as his team’s unquestioned bell cow. He can still dominate, and this franchise needs him to dominate because their Super Bowl contention largely depends on it. That’s why they snagged him two years ago, and that’s why he’ll continue to get all he can handle.
The question is whether an RB who’s 21st all-time in regular season carries can do what perhaps no other running back has done: post career-year-like numbers at age 30, 31, and 32. Even doing it two years in a row is (again, “perhaps”) unprecedented. Anytime we’re in uncharted water, fantasy prognostications go out the window. Henry is a unicorn. If you believe in the mythological creatures, he could help you win your league. But each year, the myth becomes harder to sustain.
That brings us to Randall, who profiles as a fantasy bust based on RB production dating back nearly 30 years: he had only 172 college carries, with 168 coming in his senior season. He’s a late convert to the position. That doesn’t mean he won’t have a good NFL career, but it likely means he won’t have a “good” fantasy career.
That leaves Hill as Baltimore’s biggest fantasy winner this offseason. He’ll enter this year with a clear shot at remaining Henry’s handcuff. That will make him the Ravens’ most undervalued RB.
