Andi Jackson Details Nebraska’s New Mindset to Fix Past Championship Shortfalls
Andi Jackson recently weighed in on Nebraska volleyball’s focus for the 2026 NCAA season, revealing her new mindset to fix the past championships’ shortfalls. She is currently a part of the 2026 USA Volleyball Women’s National Team Collegiate Training Program amid her off-season.
After concluding her beach and spring volleyball season with the Huskers, Jackson was selected to train under WNT staff. In addition to this, she was also named the collegiate athlete for the WNT Red-Blue Scrimmage match on May 20, 2026, in Manhattan Beach, California.
After competing in the scrimmage match, she spoke to Tren Rodriguez from Set Point, where they discussed several things about her. From her summer training to her scrimmage experience, she was asked about everything. Amid this, he asked her about Nebraska’s focus for the 2026 volleyball season. Responding to this, she said:
“Yeah, we’re a really special team and we’re going to have a lot of fun this season. There’s a lot of things that we’re trying to clean up and just work towards our end goal, but we want to just stay in the moment. I think we’ve put too much pressure on ourselves, especially these last 3 years when I’ve been here, towards the end. So we’re just really going to try to have fun with it and enjoy it and take advantage of our senior season. I know as seniors have talked about it, and we’re going to put it all out there, and whatever happens happens,” said Andi Jackson.
The middle blocker was last seen in action for the Huskers during the spring exhibition matches, which concluded on April 25 against Northern Colorado in Chadron, Nebraska.
Andi Jackson made her feelings known about playing on the US women’s national team
In the aforementioned interview, Andi Jackson was also asked about her playing at the Red-Blue Scrimmage for the USA volleyball team. Making her feelings known about being a part of the team, she said that it was like a dream come true for her and said that it was something that she will ‘never forget.’ Expressing gratitude for the opportunity, she said:
“On the US women’s national team, it’s such a huge honour. As you know, like this is every volleyball girl’s dream, and I’ve been dreaming of this for a very long time. So to get to even put on a jersey and compete for just one night is so special, and it’s something that I’ll never forget, and I’m super grateful. I’m just super grateful and I don’t want to take it for granted because I know how special this opportunity is, so I’m super grateful. I love it,” said Andi Jackson.
Following her time with the USA volleyball team, Andi Jackson will gear up for the upcoming 2026 volleyball season.
