Angel Reese Unveils Vibrant New Reebok Sneakers Following Atlanta Dream Trade
Angel Reese is marking her recent trade to the Atlanta Dream with the launch of a fresh colorway in her Reebok sneaker line. Scheduled for release on June 12, the “Angel Reese 1” will feature a striking red design, celebrating her transition to a new team and season.
The announcement comes shortly after the 24-year-old athlete set a notable record in the WNBA, as detailed in a press release from The Blast. The new sneaker, aptly named “Red,” will be available for fans starting at 10 AM EST on Reebok.com and at Dick’s Sporting Goods.
“The Angel Reese 1 ‘Red’ celebrates a new season, new team, and even bigger energy,” Reese expressed. “We’ve had a great start to our season, and I’m excited to continue building one game at a time.” Reese joined the Atlanta Dream in April 2026, with Chicago Sky General Manager Jeff Pagliocca noting that the trade was intended to improve team dynamics.
Prior to the trade, Reese expressed her desire to remain with the Sky but acknowledged the need to explore other options if necessary. After moving to Atlanta, she emphasized her commitment to enhancing her skills and competing at the highest level. This focus is reflected in her recent performance, where she achieved her first three-pointer and her fifth double-double of the season.
Currently, the Atlanta Dream boasts an impressive 6-2 record, placing them second in the league as they prepare to face the Indiana Fever. Reese has high hopes for the season, drawing parallels between her past championship wins at Maryland and LSU to her current situation. “I just feel that urge right now that I’m going to win again,” she shared.
In addition to her on-court achievements, Reese recently became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 900 rebounds, accomplishing this in just 71 games. Her dedication to rebounding has been a key component of her game strategy, as she strives to contribute even more to her team.
As a prominent figure in the league, Reese has also faced online criticism, but she finds support from fellow basketball icons. Shaquille O’Neal recently defended her against internet trolls, condemning the bullying she endures. “I can’t let you just bully females, just so you can get likes,” he remarked, highlighting the challenges female athletes often face.
