Auburn infielder Alyssa Hastings earns All-SEC honors

Auburn softball junior Alyssa Hasting was named to the All-SEC Second Team by coaches around the league on Friday.

The junior from Huntsville, Alabama, marks the 46th Auburn Tiger to be honored with All-SEC honors. Recently, Hastings had been named to the SEC Community Service Team. Now, she joins her teammate AnnaLea Adams (2025) as a Tiger to claim those honors.

Hastings finished the year in conference play with 23 hits, drew 12 walks, 17 RBI, 10 runs, and four home runs. On the defensive side of the ball, she totaled 20 putouts and 50 assists. Hastings recorded a .986 fielding percentage, only counting for one error during her first season on the Plains after transferring from Lipscomb.

She was the most consistent at bat for the Tigers in conference play this year with a batting average of .307, on-base percentage of .402, and slugging percentage of .547. Her best game came against the Ole Miss Rebels in game two of the series, where she drove in seven runs. That places her second on the list for the school record of runs driven in.
