Blaine Brown started in left field for Tennessee and went 3-for-3 in Game 3. He recorded three hits (two home runs), four RBIs, two runs and one walk.
First-year Tennessee head coach Josh Elander discussed Brown's performance after the game.
“I think just credit to our staff and him getting to a good spot mentally, and I was sticking with him too,” Elander said. “Again, I know he struggled a little bit, but he has the ability to change the game in one swing and was able to do that.”
Tennessee won Game 2, 10-0, in eight innings. The Crimson Tide won Thursday's series opener, 12-8.
The Vols will next play April 28 versus West Georgia at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. EDT (SEC Network+).
