Boston Celtics stop hot Sixers start cold, beat Philly 114-98 at home (PHOTOS)
The Boston Celtics beat back a hot start from the Philadelphia 76ers in the first quarter of their tilt at TD Garden this past Sunday (Mar. 1) night to win 114-98, improving their record for the 2025-26 NBA regular season to 40-20, just missing the traditional indicator made up by former Los Angeles Lakers head coach Phil Jackson as a bellwether for a contending team.
As usual, Boston won the shot margins to the tune of 91-88, and obliterated the Sixers in the battle of the boards 59-37, thanks in part to a career night from Boston big man Neemias Queta. That they managed to do so despite more than lapping Philly in turnovers (15-6) makes the win all the more impressive.
Let's take a look at some of the best plays from the victory captured in images.
