Caleb Banks will be a fan favorite in no time based on one thing

The Minnesota Vikings saw their run defense become a shell of itself in 2025, and Brian Flores seemingly said, "never again." With the team lacking a general manager, the coaching staff had its fingerprints all over this 2026 NFL Draft class. Thus, Flores was able to land some players he deemed to be able to help defend the run this season and beyond.

His plan to stop the run is going to depend upon the play of first-round pick Caleb Banks. He was recently on KFAN1003, speaking about when he fell in love with football. The reason he gives will have Vikings fans excited to see him hit the field this year.

“Being able to physically impose my will on somebody and not get in trouble for it, it’s the best part.”

Banks is getting a lot of flak for his ability to remain healthy, but you cannot debate that he is a fun and talented football player. The Vikings fans will remain critical of their selection until he proves himself on the field, but they can at least rest easy knowing he has the right mindset when it comes to the game itself.
