Chase Sexton to Sit Out Thunder Valley Motocross After Serious Incident

Chase Sexton has confirmed he will not participate in Round 3 of the Pro Motocross series and Round 20 of the SuperMotocross League following a troubling crash at Thunder Valley Motocross Park, as reported by the Monster Energy Kawasaki team. Footage shared on the Pro Motocross Instagram account shows Sexton's motorcycle dipping unexpectedly as he attempted a jump over one of the park's significant obstacles. Although he managed to stand and move off the track, the incident raised concerns about his condition.

In a message shared via his Instagram story, recently archived by both Pro Motocross and SuperMotocross, Sexton reflected on the crash, stating: "Well, not a great day. Knee feels cooked but will get it checked out when I get home. Incident was out of my control and feeling like a passenger was very scary. I'm just very lucky to be somewhat okay and the man up above was looking over me. Thanks for the messages and everyone checking in, it means a lot."

This incident follows a challenging performance at the previous Hangtown Motocross Classic, where Sexton finished 11th in the first moto and placed seventh overall. Expressing his struggles this season, he remarked, "It’s been a tough year not being able to ride anywhere near my potential, but with that being said I’m not giving up and in the end it’s going to make the wins that much better. I really do appreciate and am grateful the people in my corner and all the fans having my back through a trying year. See y’all at Thunder Valley."
