The Kansas City Chiefs need to see significant improvement from their receiving corps next season after the team's pass-catchers turned in a disappointing performance in 2025.

While general manager Brett Veach failed to make significant investments in Kansas City's pass-catchers over the past few months, one of his signings after the 2026 NFL Draft has a huge opportunity to contribute to the Chiefs' offensive renaissance.

On May 27, Chiefs Senior Team Reporter Matt McMullen highlighted former California Golden Bears standout Jacob De Jesus as a potential breakout candidate in a highlight video that was posted to Twitter.

With voluntary OTAs officially underway, De Jesus is already hard at work making a great first impression on the Chiefs' coaching staff, which may decide to feature the speedy wideout extensively during the preseason — if his performance in Kansas City's offseason program warrants a closer look against live competition.
