Trace Mazon, a junior infielder from Coastal Carolina, has announced his decision to transfer to Texas Christian University (TCU). During the 2026 season, Mazon showcased his versatility by playing as a designated hitter, first baseman, and left fielder.

The Aledo, Texas native recorded impressive numbers, achieving a batting average of .359 with an on-base percentage of .413 and a slugging percentage of .550. Across 36 games, he collected 47 hits, including nine doubles, two triples, and four home runs, while driving in 31 runs. Additionally, he stole six bases and crossed home plate 24 times.

Mazon's baseball journey began at Weatherford College, where he earned All-NTJCAC honors twice—once as a Second Team selection during his freshman year and later as a First Team choice in his sophomore season. His high school career at Aledo was also distinguished; he was named Second-Team All-District in 2022 and participated in the prestigious Texas All-State All-Star Game in 2023.

In his final high school season, Mazon achieved a remarkable .467 batting average and a .711 slugging percentage, earning him the title of All-District 5A MVP. His time in junior college was equally impressive, with a freshman year batting average of .339, which included 64 hits and 21 doubles in 55 games, followed by a stellar sophomore year where he batted .365, hit 15 home runs, and amassed 76 hits and 62 RBIs.
