Colombia's National Team Arrives in Mexico for World Cup Preparations
The Colombian National Team has officially arrived in Mexico as they gear up for their upcoming debut in the FIFA World Cup 2026™. The squad, under the leadership of Néstor Lorenzo, touched down in Guadalajara after a rigorous training camp aimed at physical conditioning in California.
For their preparations, the team has selected Atlas FC’s Academia AGA as their primary training facility. This state-of-the-art sports complex will serve as the team's headquarters and training ground throughout the group stage of the prestigious tournament.
The choice of Academia AGA was strategic; it is one of the few venues officially sanctioned by FIFA. The Colombian Football Federation granted approval for this site following thorough technical evaluations to ensure it meets the team's needs.
With full access to the facility, Lorenzo and his coaching staff plan to utilize the privacy and logistical benefits of the Guadalajara location. Their primary goal is to help the players acclimate to the environment and refine their tactical strategies ahead of their eagerly awaited first match on the world stage.
