Cowboys Strengthen Offensive Line by Signing Chris Glaser for 2026 Season

The Dallas Cowboys are actively looking to bolster their offensive line ahead of the 2026 season. In response to the recent loss of free-agent acquisition Matt Hennessy, who is facing surgery due to a neck injury, the team has added offensive lineman Chris Glaser to their roster. Hennessy's recovery could sideline him for an extended period, possibly affecting his availability for training camp, thereby necessitating additional depth on the line.

Glaser, who went undrafted out of the University of Virginia, initially joined the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022. His career has since included stints with the New York Jets and the Chicago Bears, where he has participated in a total of eight games. In 2023, he saw the most significant action, recording 57 snaps in Week 11, six in Week 14, and 20 in Week 17. Versatile in his abilities, Glaser has experience playing both guard and center—positions vital to the Cowboys as they look to fill the gap left by Hennessy.

After being released by the Bears in 2025, Glaser played nine games with the Columbus Aviators in the UFL, even making a notable catch for 21 yards during a game. The Cowboys are once again exploring talent from the UFL, aiming to uncover hidden gems, as they have successfully done in the past with players like Brandon Aubrey and Kavontae Turpin, who both transitioned from the spring league to key roles in Dallas.
