Drake Maye Thrilled to Team Up with New Patriots Star A.J. Brown

The New England Patriots have bolstered their offense by acquiring wide receiver A.J. Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles, providing quarterback Drake Maye with a top-tier target for the upcoming NFL season. Maye is enthusiastic about the opportunity to work with the three-time Pro Bowler, who is known for his impressive skills on the field. Maye further emphasized Brown's winning mentality, stating, “The best thing about him, he’s been a winner. He knows what it’s like to win. Obviously that’s something in that room we’re looking for. … Just coming in with that stature, with his ability and that size.”

A.J. Brown was brought to New England in exchange for a 2028 first-round draft pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick. In his last season with the Eagles, he recorded 78 receptions for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns over 15 games.

The Patriots, with Maye and Brown at the helm, are set to kick off their 2026 regular season against the Seattle Seahawks on September 9.
