Eastern Washington Bolsters Roster with Transfer Isak Homelius

On June 1, the Eastern Washington men's basketball program announced the addition of Isak Homelius, a junior college transfer who had an impressive scoring record at Western Texas College. The Swedish guard stands at 6-foot-5 and made a significant impact in his inaugural season in the United States, averaging 17.3 points per game.

Homelius demonstrated notable shooting skills, hitting 41% of his field goals, 36% from beyond the arc, and 79% from the free-throw line. Eastern Washington head coach Dan Monson expressed enthusiasm about the new recruit, stating, "We are excited to welcome Isak to Cheney. He's a proven scorer who is coming off an all-conference season in one of the top JUCO leagues in the country. His shooting ability and basketball IQ will immediately translate to this level and we feel confident he has all the intangibles to earn a big role for us."

In addition to his accomplishments in junior college, Homelius also has experience in Sweden's second division, the Sweden-Superettan, where he averaged 12.5 points per game. As the season progressed at Western Texas College, he took on a larger scoring role, notching over 30 points in four of the team's last ten games, including a personal best of 37 points.

Homelius marks the fifth new addition to the Eagles' roster this offseason, as the team looks to enhance its competitiveness in the upcoming season.
