Fever Star Caitlin Clark Compares Aliyah Boston to This NBA MVP

In late March, Indiana Fever All-Star guard Caitlin Clark joined NBC’s broadcast of the Denver Nuggets‘ game against the Golden State Warriors and said that three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic is “probably my favorite player to watch” and “the best player in the world.”

Clark sees a lot of what she loves about Jokic’s game in her Fever teammate, three-time All-Star Aliyah Boston.

Clark appeared on the newest episode of “Post Moves with Candace Parker & Aliyah Boston” for a wide-ranging conversation. Toward the beginning, Parker expressed her high expectations for Boston and Clark’s pick-and-roll game and compared it to Jokic’s pick-and-roll with Jamal Murray.

“There’s nobody, in my eyes, in the league that plays her position — like, obviously, there’s post players in this league that can score, that can score, that can score, that can rebound, but AB can pass,” Clark said. “That’s missing from a lot of people’s games that play her position. And then, her IQ is also taken for granted. People don’t understand, she’s just a smart player.”

Clark added, “She was running point for us a lot of the time last year when I was out, so I think that’s kind of what separates her. Like you said, she reminds me of Jokic a lot. She can pass. She communicates well. She defends. She rebounds. She scores.”

The Fever landed Boston with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft, followed by drafting Clark with the No. 1 overall pick in 2024. In April, the franchise locked up Boston through the 2029 season with a $6.3 million contract extension — the richest total salary in league history, per ESPN. Clark will be max eligible next offseason.

Elsewhere in their “Post Moves” conversation, Boston and Clark reenacted their on-court crashouts, forecasted what this Fever team is capable of, and more. Watch below.
