Fox Sports suggests Vikings could be looking for a new QB in 2027
The Minnesota Vikings quarterback situation was expected to be very fluid this offseason, and it has. Minnesota would bring in former number one overall pick Kyler Murray on a one-year, prove-it deal. Fans are excited for the change Murray brings to this offense, as last season, when healthy, J.J. McCarthy struggled mightily.
Even with the addition of Murray, could the Vikings be in the market for yet another quarterback in 2027?
FOX Sports released an article this week, highlighting ten teams that could find themselves looking to acquire a quarterback in the 2027 NFL Draft. The reason being if Murray plays well, similar to what Sam Darnold did in Minnesota, and leaves for a big-money deal, Minnesota could be eager to replicate that.
The Kyler Murray signing and the national media already speculating that Murray could revitalize his career and depart, spells trouble for J.J. McCarthy. We aren't totally sure this front office loves the idea of McCarthy being the long-term option at quarterback, and should they find themselves without a starter next offseason, the draft is stocked full of potential starters.
