Greg Cosell Envisions Eli Stowers as Key Contributor in Eagles' Offense

Discussing Stowers on a podcast with Ross Tucker, Cosell emphasized the player's versatility and the role he anticipates for him in Sean Mannion's offensive scheme. "He’s a factor in the passing game at ALL three levels. And he’s got competitive toughness," Cosell remarked, stressing that Stowers was not drafted to serve merely as a blocking tight end.

While Dallas Goedert remains the primary tight end, Stowers was selected not only for his potential but also as a future successor. His 2025 campaign saw him elevate his performance further, compiling 62 receptions for 769 yards and four touchdowns, which garnered him first-team All-SEC honors for a second year, unanimous All-American recognition, and the prestigious John Mackey Award as the top tight end in the nation.
