Gunner Ganske Selected for Class 4A All-State Team; Three Lumberjacks Honored Academically

BEMIDJI — In recognition of a successful season for Bemidji High School baseball, Gunner Ganske has earned a spot on the Class 4A All-State Team. Ganske showcased his skills at the plate with a batting average of .361 and an impressive OPS of 1.043. His offensive contributions included nine doubles, one triple, and two home runs. Defensively, as a catcher, he demonstrated exceptional reliability, committing only one error in 148 chances.

Beyond his hitting prowess, Ganske proved to be a versatile asset for the Lumberjacks, contributing significantly on the mound. He pitched for 34 1/3 innings, striking out 44 batters while facing 156, which ranked as the second-highest for BHS pitchers this season. He concluded the year with a 5.30 ERA.

Additionally, Ganske is joined by teammates Miles Gish and Reece Dokken in receiving recognition on the 2026 Class 4A Academic All-State Team. Looking ahead, Ganske will continue his baseball career at the University of Sioux Falls, while Gish has committed to playing Division III football at Bethel University, and Dokken will pursue his studies at the University of Utah.
