Hayfield's Carly Bronson Captures Third at Class A State Golf Championship

Hayfield's Carly Bronson concluded her high school golf journey on a triumphant note, securing third place at the Class A girls state golf championship held at Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker on Wednesday. Bronson posted a score of 76 on the second day of the tournament, culminating in a two-day total of 157, which placed her just one stroke behind Hope Reid from Community Christian and one stroke ahead of Addison McCabe from Lanesboro.

Aly Bormes from Heritage Christian Academy claimed the top spot with a score of 152. With this performance, Bronson, a seasoned competitor with six state qualifications under her belt, has committed to continuing her golf career at Division II Southwest State University in Marshall.

In addition to Bronson's success, Blooming Prairie's senior Aubrey Alwes finished in 40th place at the state meet with a combined score of 187. On the boys' side, Blooming Prairie senior Brady Johnson ended in 43rd place with a total of 162, while his teammate Drew Reinke took 69th with a score of 174. This year's state meet showcased the talent and dedication of these young golfers.
