Rogers Commends Bellingham’s Competitive Spirit Ahead of World Cup

Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers has expressed his admiration for England teammate Jude Bellingham as the two prepare for the upcoming World Cup. Both players are vying for a spot in Thomas Tuchel's midfield, yet their friendship remains strong despite the competitive landscape.

During a recent interview for Lion's Den, Rogers praised Bellingham's versatility on the pitch, highlighting the Real Madrid star's exceptional ability to adapt to different roles. "His ability to shift. He can be a completely different player on a given day. I think that is the top one percent, even less, of footballers," Rogers remarked.

Rogers noted that Bellingham's talents have been pivotal for his club, recalling a time when he was tasked with scoring goals due to a lack of strikers. "We need you to get 20 goals, we don't have a number nine, we need you to be that guy. Ok, no problem," Rogers recounted, emphasizing Bellingham's capacity to meet varying demands on the field.

In addition to his skills, Rogers highlighted Bellingham’s mentality, particularly his determination to lead his team even during challenging matches. "I'll watch him lose the ball, not having his best game. But, that puffing his chest out, putting the team on his back, 'you're coming with me'. You can only admire that," he stated.

Rogers believes that regardless of the circumstances, Bellingham consistently manages to leave a mark on the game, proving his resilience and leadership qualities. "He can be having a horrible game... but best believe he's going to have the final say nine times out of ten," he added.
