We went up there to check it out… cars parked in North 40 from 2-5am and they’re still clearing those in before they let anyone else into the line - there was 100 cars or so left 15 mins ago— pd (@AccuratelyLucky) May 24, 2026
I also want to second my curiosity with the parking situation? Trying to get into LOT 1C (we've parked here the last 2 years and never had issues) but we've been in stand still traffic for 90 minutes now, little to no movement? Any updates? @IMS#Indy500https://t.co/FZBvvyVRQy— 🏁Logan James🏎 (@_LOG_cAbiN) May 24, 2026
@IMS you owe North 40 parking passers a refund…we’ve been sitting 1,000 feet from the entrance for over 1.5 hrs and NO ONE getting in…— Jeff Davis (@indy500_beerman) May 24, 2026
Traffic is an absolute crap shoot here @IMS#indy500— Ben Johnston 🇺🇦 (@BSJ2008) May 24, 2026
That's stopped traffic on W. 10th St. over I-465. The grind stretches all the way into Speedway to Lynhurst Dr. and then some. Also, there's a line of traffic about a half a mile long from NB-465 to W. 10th St.
Things are picking up, especially on I-465 exits to the west side. pic.twitter.com/d9bzL6hZVv— Matt Bair (@MattINTraffic) May 24, 2026
Alright @IMS@jdouglas4 this is getting out of hand. Got a feeling T3 front row parking is one of if not the most pricey parking options. No one directing had a clue where to send you. Last yr I thought a one-off, now it’s a trend. Easy fix, folks directing gotta know what’s up.— Ben Meyer (@TheBigBenDiesel) May 24, 2026
Don't be a knucklehead. Follow the traffic patterns and listen to the volunteers in the lot. At 0445, I already saw 3 people making their own parking spots and multiple not following traffic pattern #indy500https://t.co/xZgL5HhZ76— Angie (@AngieK46260) May 24, 2026
it’s Indy 500 race day and people are already up and parking.— khye kee. (@thakileriver) May 24, 2026
