J.J. Watt Drops Hilarious Five-Word Response to George Kittle

The NFL is a brotherhood. That much has been evident in several social media exchanges this offseason. The latest comes between two legends and seeming sure-fire NFL Hall of Famers in J.J. Watt and San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle.

Kittle has been outspoken about the playing field status of the World Cup this offseason. In short, he is not pleased that the NFL is opting not to maintain a grass turf and switching to artificial for the World Cup.

It's not difficult to understand why the NFL does not want to move to grass fields. It would be perhaps, as some might view it, an unnecessary expense and time waster.

For teams like the New York Giants and Jets, whose stadium hosted the World Cup Final, going to turf would necessitate having to repaint the end zone each time the home team switched in addition to having the make logistics work for mowing the grass in a timely fashion. That's to say nothing of the money that teams would have to spend on groundskeepers and turf upkeep.

Even so, the 49ers are the only NFL team in town, so there's some merit to going to turf for injury prevention.

Kittle's interest in the World Cup showed up in other ways. The San Francisco tight end attended the final. He responded to a social media post by J.J. Watt in which Watt posted a picture of the field from the stadium. Kittle responded, "J.J. find me please."

Watt reposted Kittle's response with the caption, "I found you yesterday, George." The former NFL defensive end posted a picture of someone else at a bar with long hair apparently asking a stranger to take a picture posing as Kittle.

Kittle took the post in stride, responding, "You won't do it again tho."

The exchange gives a little bit of insight into the respect other stars have for Kittle. Obviously, there's a mutual respect for players who have a similar work ethic and productive career, but Kittle and Watt appear to be good friends despite playing for other franchises.

Watt never played for the same team as Kittle, but they did do battle as division rivals when Watt played for the Arizona Cardinals.

It's unsurprising that Kittle and Watt have become good friends, but not any less interesting.

Kittle will look to return to health and break out in the 2026 season.
