During a recent media session, Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell addressed comments made by J.J. O'Connell encouraged open communication among the quarterbacks, noting that honesty is vital for fostering a competitive atmosphere. "When they speak to [reporters], I want them to be open. I want them to be honest," he explained. He believes this transparency will help both players showcase their abilities consistently, contributing to the team's overall growth.

In discussing Murray, O'Connell praised the 28-year-old's progress in adapting to the Vikings' system, highlighting his impressive skills.
