Kickoff time announced for Oklahoma Sooners Week 3 matchup

The Oklahoma Sooners learned their kickoff time for Week 3 of the 2026 college football season. After facing Michigan at 11 a.m. CT as part of Fox's Big Noon Kickoff, the Sooners will return home to face New Mexico in a primetime kickoff on September 19.

The Sooners and Lobos will kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT on ESPN2.

The Sooners are 2-0 all-time vs. New Mexico, with the wins coming in the 1930 and 1935 seasons and by a combined score of 72-0.

The game comes sandwiched between road trips to Michigan and then Georgia in Week 4.

Oklahoma won its early-season primetime game against the Michigan Wolverines last season. After a big-time top 25 matchup on the road in Ann Arbor, playing the next week under the lights will be a fantastic return to Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.
