'Kids Rock' returns to Nissan Stadium for rock 'n' roll race day

Young runners will lace up to take over Nissan Stadium on April 26 for Kids Rock, part of Nashville's Rock 'n' Roll running series.

Kids Rock is a fun run event for participants agest 0-14, not to be confused with the singer.

"Kids Rock gives families an opportunity to experience race weekend together and allows kids to feel the excitement of crossing a finish line," Adam Zocks, race director of the Rock'n' Roll Running Series Nashville, said in a press release. "We love seeing the confidence it builds in young participants and the energy they bring to the day."

The line up on April 26 includes a noon Doggie Dash, 1-mile races at 12:30 p.m. and the Kids Rock event at 1 p.m.

The run is not timed and is designed to introduce kids of all abilities to the fun of running. Distances range from the Diaper Dash crawl to a one-mile run. Each participant gets a race bib, Kids Rock t-shirt, finisher medal and post-race snacks.
