Lane Arroyos Transfers to Texas A&M After Stellar Season at Western Kentucky
Lane Arroyos, an infielder for Western Kentucky, has officially announced his commitment to Texas A&M via his Twitter account on Monday evening. After just one season with the Hilltoppers, Arroyos has opted to enter the NCAA transfer portal.
Arroyos began his collegiate journey at New Mexico Junior College, where he played from 2023 to 2025, boasting an impressive .360 batting average over 361 at-bats with the Thunderbirds. His performance at Western Kentucky was equally notable, as he recorded a .361 batting average this past season, hitting six home runs, one triple, and 24 doubles.
Recognized for his outstanding contributions, Arroyos was named a first-team All-Conference USA selection. He was an integral part of the team's lineup, achieving multi-hit games in 27 out of 54 appearances and making 53 starts. His season highlights included two remarkable four-hit games, one of which occurred during a 13-0 victory against Eastern Kentucky on April 21, where he went 4-for-5 with two RBIs. He replicated this performance on May 2 during another 11-0 win at MTSU, again recording a 4-for-5 outing with two runs and an RBI.
Arroyos led Conference USA in both batting average and doubles, while also ranking second in on-base percentage and OPS. Furthermore, he was third in hits with 75 and fourth in RBIs, collecting a total of 50. The story is still unfolding, and On3 will provide further updates soon.
