The Liggett [Gross Pointe Woods] Knights defeated the Southfield Christian Eagles, 10-0, Saturday afternoon.

The Knights' win came in five innings via the 10-run rule after they built in insurmountable lead on a short afternoon.

The win gave Liggett Michigan's MHSAA Division 3 District 87 softball championship, and they advance now to the regional semifinals.

They'll take on the winner of Lake Whiteford [Ottawa] and St. Mary Catholic Central [Monroe] on June 6.
