Local Softball Players Shine in All-Conference Selections

Clyde's senior infielder Mya Stiefel has been named the top performer in the Sandusky Bay Conference Lake Division, while Margaretta's senior Cassidy Lane earned similar honors in the Bay Division. Additionally, eight players from Gibsonburg secured first-team spots in the SBC River Division.

Among the standout athletes, junior pitcher Madison Myers and sophomore center fielder Ariah Farrar were recognized on the first-team for the league-champion Fliers. Freshman outfielder Jayleigh Flynn earned a second-team designation. In the Lake Division, Bellevue's sophomore pitcher Mallory Hay, junior catcher Ryleigh Knutti, and sophomore outfielder Chloe Easterwood were also named to the first team. Senior infielder MyahAnn Reesman and sophomore outfielder Addison Rich made the second team, while senior infielder Ava Meyer received honorable mention.

In the SBC River Division, the Golden Bears claimed several first-team honors, including sophomore pitcher Aliv Wauford and senior outfielder Leah Hall. Other first-team members included sophomores Ava Amor, Mackenzie Muntz, Katie Hall, and Hannah Crispen, along with senior Emily Henderson and sophomore Mia Brink. Old Fort's junior catcher Abbi Ward also made the first team, with senior pitcher Mylee Sebetto and junior infielder Lucy King earning second-team spots.

In the Bay Division, junior catcher Brooke Hastings, sophomore infielder Lucy Edwards, and freshman outfielder Tessa Lane were recognized on the first team for the Polar Bears. Port Clinton's freshman catcher Micaela Wiechman and sophomore infielder Jae Mazur also made the first team, with several athletes receiving second-team and honorable mention accolades.

The Northern Buckeye Conference saw junior pitcher Morgan LaLonde and senior shortstop Karder Haas among the first-team selections for conference champion Oak Harbor. Eastwood's senior MacKenzie Hady was awarded pitcher of the year, while Maumee's senior Taylor Smith took home the title of offensive player of the year.
