MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Rookie sensation Olivia Miles shone brightly with 24 points, seven rebounds, and six assists as the Minnesota Lynx triumphed over the Dallas Wings 100-76 on Tuesday night. Kayla McBride contributed significantly with 22 points, leading the Lynx to their eighth straight win, marking them as the first team in the WNBA to achieve 10 victories this season.

Natasha Howard and Courtney Williams also made notable contributions for Minnesota (10-2), scoring 21 and 16 points, respectively. McBride was instrumental from beyond the arc, hitting four of the team's seven 3-pointers. On the other side, Paige Bueckers led the Wings (7-4) with 23 points, while Arike Ogunbowale and Jessica Shepard added 16 and 12 points, respectively.

In a commanding first half, four of the Lynx starters reached double figures, with Howard and Miles scoring 14 points each, while McBride and Williams each tallied 12. This impressive performance helped Minnesota to a solid 58-38 lead at halftime, bolstered by an exceptional shooting percentage of 72%, including 6 of 8 from three-point range.

As the game progressed, the Lynx maintained a comfortable lead, entering the fourth quarter up 75-60. With 30.7 seconds left, Williams scored to bring Minnesota to the 100-point mark, achieving this milestone for the third time this season. Remarkably, the teams combined to hit 26 consecutive free throws before a miss occurred in the closing moments of the game.

Looking ahead, Dallas will face Phoenix on Thursday, while Minnesota prepares to take on Las Vegas on Saturday.
