Michigan adds four-star running back to 2027 class
Michigan is keeping its recent commitment streak going and added four-star running back Tyson Robinson to the 2027 class on Saturday.
Robinson out of Brandon (Miss.) High, chose Michigan over Alabama and Tennessee, and made his announcement live on On3/Rivals. The 5-foot-9, 195-pounder missed four games last season with injury and finished with 1,050 yards, and during his sophomore season, he rushed for 1,295 yards.
"Michigan stayed there, trusted the process, seen me grow through adversity and let me be me," Robinson said when asked about Michigan sticking with him as he dealt with injury and added he is "feeling great."

He is ranked No. 224 overall by 247Sports Composite, 15th at running backs and is No. 8 in Mississippi. On3/Rivals ranks him as the No. 212 prospect nationally and the 14th-ranked running back. Robinson will join a room at Michigan that includes current freshman Savion Hiter, a five-star recruit in the 2026 class.
Robinson was asked what Michigan fans should expect when he is officially on the roster.
"Hard worker and me and Savion destroying everyone we play against," Robinson said laughing.
This is the fourth straight day the Wolverines have received a commitment. Four-star receiver Quentin Burrell committed Wednesday, four-star defensive line Xavier Muhammad pledged on Thursday, and safety Charles Woodson Jr., committed on Friday.
Michigan now has 11 commitments to the 2027 class.
