Nebraska Star Jordy Frahm Reveals Pregnancy Following World Series Departure
Jordy Frahm, a standout player for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, made headlines on June 1 by revealing that she is expecting her first child with her husband, Trey Frahm. This announcement came just a day after Nebraska's exit from the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City, marking the team’s first appearance in this prestigious tournament in over ten years. Remarkably, the announcement follows her recent recognition as the National Player of the Year.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Frahm shared, "He has made everything beautiful in its time. Our greatest blessing is on the way," alongside a slideshow featuring an ultrasound image and a Nebraska-themed onesie. The couple is anticipating the arrival of “Baby Frahm” in December 2026.
Frahm, a 5-foot-8 pitcher originally from Papillion, Nebraska, began her collegiate career at Oklahoma, where she played a key role in securing national championships in 2022 and 2023. After transferring back to Nebraska, she faced a setback with a torn ACL in her debut season but made a triumphant return in 2025, leading the Cornhuskers to the Super Regionals. This season marked a significant achievement as she helped the team reach the Women's College World Series for the first time since 2013.
During the elimination match against Texas, Frahm made her mark by hitting a leadoff home run, her 20th of the season, and became the first player in Cornhuskers history to achieve 20 or more home runs in multiple seasons. She also showcased her pitching skills, delivering a no-hitter into the sixth inning, before Texas secured a 3-1 victory.
Reflecting on her journey, Frahm stated, "God's fingerprints were all over this team, all over my story, all over my career." She expressed gratitude for her experiences, from her time at Oklahoma to her return to Nebraska and overcoming injuries, concluding her collegiate career with pride.
For the season, Frahm ranked sixth in ERA at 1.37, amassing 251 strikeouts over 189.2 innings, alongside a .403 batting average, 20 home runs, and 51 RBIs. Nebraska head coach Rhonda Revelle praised her as a fierce competitor and an exceptional teammate. "Her emotional intelligence is off the charts," Revelle noted, emphasizing Frahm's leadership qualities.
