Oddsmakers don’t see a victory on the Arizona Cardinals’ 2026 schedule

Coming off a 3-14 campaign, the Arizona Cardinals made big changes to their roster during the NFL offseason.

The franchise bid farewell to quarterback Kyler Murray after seven up-and-down seasons. Defensive end Calais Campbell and safety Jalen Thompson left in free agency.

Meanwhile, Arizona added two big names in the NFL draft, selecting Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love in the first round and Miami quarterback Carson Beck in the third round. The Cardinals added veteran guard Isaac Seumalo, quarterback Gardner Minshew and running back Tyler Allgeier in free agency.

So have the Cardinals done enough for new head coach Mike LaFleur to ensure improvement in 2026?

Oddsmakers say no. A resounding no, per Pro Football Talk.

After Arizona released its 2026 schedule on Thursday, DraftKings offered point spreads for each game. The Cardinals are underdogs in every game and double-digit underdogs in eight of them.

Following are the Cardinals’ point spreads:

• Week 2: Seahawks (-10)
• Week 3: at 49ers (-11.5)
• Week 4: at Giants (-7)
• Week 5: Lions (-8.5)
• Week 6: at Rams (-13.5)
• Week 7: Broncos (-7.5)
• Week 8: at Cowboys (-10.5)
• Week 9: at Seahawks (-13.5)
• Week 10: Rams (-10.5)
• Week 11: at Chiefs (-11.5)
• Week 12: Commanders (-4.5)
• Week 13: Eagles (-8.5)
• Week 14: Bye
• Week 15: Jets (-1.5)
• Week 16: at Saints (-5.5)
• Week 17: Raiders (-1.5)

Is 0-17 a possibility?

The main issue for the Cardinals is that they compete in the rough-and-tumble NFC West. The two NFC Championship Game participants, the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams, play in that division as do the usually strong San Francisco 49ers. Arizona meets each of those teams twice along with the entire NFC East and AFC West.

As Pro Football Talk pointed out, Arizona’s most winnable games come at the end of their season. But by the time the Cardinals play the New York Jets, New Orleans Saints and Las Vegas Raiders, they may already be in tank mode to get the No. 1 pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.

No team has gone winless since the NFL moved to a 17-game schedule in 2021. The only NFL teams that failed to win a game during the Super Bowl era are the 2017 Cleveland Browns (0-16), 2008 Detroit Lions (0-16), 1982 Indianapolis Colts (0-8-1 in strike-shortened season) and the 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-14).
