Ohio State Football Eyeing Another Harrison as Jett Gains Momentum
Marvin Harrison Jr. has firmly established himself as one of the premier wide receivers in the history of Ohio State football. Over just two seasons as a starter, he dazzled fans with spectacular catches and record-breaking performances, earning accolades such as a Heisman finalist and the Biletnikoff Award for the best receiver in the nation in 2023. He was subsequently selected as the No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Now, the Buckeyes may soon welcome another member of the Harrison family.
Jett Harrison, younger brother of the former Buckeye star, is making headlines in the 2028 recruiting class. Rather than being overshadowed by Marvin, Jett has climbed the rankings to become the No. 4 overall prospect and the second-best receiver, according to the composite rankings on 247Sports. Unlike his brother, who was ranked 21st among receivers during his recruitment, Jett has already caught the attention of major programs.
Ohio State extended a scholarship offer to Jett following his freshman year, indicating their interest early in his development. While he still has two more years of high school football ahead of him, recruiting analyst Steve Wiltfong has expressed optimism by making a crystal ball prediction for Jett to join the Buckeyes. "FONG BOMB: Rivals' @SWiltfong_ has logged an expert prediction for Ohio State to land 5-star WR Jett Harrison," Rivals tweeted.
The Harrison brothers are the sons of NFL Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison Sr., which adds an impressive lineage to Jett's profile. If Jett's journey mirrors that of his brother's success at Ohio State, the program could be on the verge of securing another exceptional talent.
