OKC Thunder's Chet Holmgren, Cason Wallace earn NBA All-Defensive team selections
The NBA announced its All-Defensive first and second teams on Friday, and two OKC Thunder players made the cut.
Chet Holmgren received an All-Defensive first team selection, while Cason Wallace made the All-Defensive second team. It's the first time either player has earned an All-Defensive team selection.
Holmgren averaged 1.9 blocks to go along with 17.1 points and 8.9 rebounds, and he made opponents shoot 14.2% worse than their average from inside six feet of the rim. That helped the 24-year-old forward also finish second in Defensive Player of the Year voting.
Wallace averaged 1.9 steals to go along with 8.6 points and 3.1 rebounds. The 22-year-old guard led the league in total steals (150) despite coming off the bench for 19 of his 77 games.
